Description Stefan Holmström 2011-08-06 21:04:57 UTC
Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

I use the metadata editor to change image captions. The new format of the editor puts EXIF in the first tab. When I change caption there and apply, the image creation date is changed to the date and time of that change. I think that is incorrect. When I do the change in the IPTC tab, the date is not changed, i.e. it is kept as the original camera date.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Use the metadata editor and change caption in the EXIF tab. Then apply. The image date is changed.

Actual Results:
See the steps above.

Expected Results:

There is an option in digiKam metadata settings dialog to change this behavior...
