Description Stefan Gründel 2011-08-06 10:42:44 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

Create a new session in KRFB and connect to it from KRDC. After successful connection, KRDC shows the screen of the KRFB machine, but the display is never refreshed. The connection is actually working correctly, if you move the mouse in KRDC and click something (without seeing it in KRDC), it shows up correctly on the KRFB side.

I could reproduce it with KRDC 4.6.2 in 11.04 and KRDC 4.4.5 in 10.04.

As a workaround, if you disable desktop effects on the KRFB machine, it works as expected.

So even though this bug shows up in KRDC, it seems to be caused by KRFB.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Create a new KRFB session on a machine with desktop effects enabled, then connect via KRDC and start to interact with KRFB machine.

Actual Results:
KRFB machine desktop shows up in KRDC but is never refreshed when you interact via KRDC.

Expected Results:
KRDC should show results of interaction with KRFB machine desktop.

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-10-generic
Compiler: cc

This Behaviour has been reproduced with SUSE Leap 42.2 and KDRC 5.0
There is no possibility to get a refreshed screen. The disabling of desktop effects does not work either.
In SUSE 13.2 and KDRC 5.0 it works as expected.
