Tried to compress a 19GiB clonezilla img file from an External USB 2.0 HDD to my local SATA HDD.


It sat there doing nothing? (very minimal HDD activity from both drives for entire time) for about 10mins, at which point I killed the job via the system tray/notifications panel popup thing.

I thought there was a problem with filesize and format chosen.

I then tried same job, but selected tar-gzip format - once I had initiated this, an error window popped up - it had no information, just a big _X_ cancel button, and nothing else on it.

I associated this crash with the current tar-gzip operation I was performing, but after reading one of these other error reports I realised it may be related to the 7-zip job.
