I need a way to reproduce, crash looks valid, but still, no idea to fix it without test case.

kate (3.8.4) on KDE Platform 4.8.4 (4.8.4) using Qt 4.8.1

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

i was editing a 739Kb file:
* select text and Ctrl+c
* Ctrl+v at a new place
* kate died
