Description Ferdinand Gassauer 2011-08-04 17:40:11 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

kmail2 becomes unusable as folders have no more content

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
open local abo and check/uncheck folders

difficult to reproduce because it seems to be ONE WAY

Actual Results:
no more folders are dispalyed for imap

Expected Results:
display checked folders

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.37.6-0.5-desktop
Compiler: gcc

it's a pseudo data loss , need to resetup all accounts of kmail2 or probably to digg into some internals

could be related to the migration issue. (separator character of impa dot or slash)

IMHO KDE 4.7 (at least kmail2) should be removed from repositories of the distibutions due all the problems with IMAP
Comment 2 Ferdinand Gassauer 2011-08-04 18:33:23 UTC
may issue was solved by restarting kmail2.
nevertheless it's not production ready - I wouldn't like to have these kind of problems on my main computer

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 4 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 21:40:04 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
