Description Stephan Olbrich 2011-08-04 16:21:26 UTC
Version: 4.7 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

Some parts of the migration failed and now every time I start some akonadi based program (kontact, akonadisonsole, etc.) the resource migration tool (not sure f this is the correct english name) shows up with some messages:

Die clientseitige Brücke ist bereis eingerichted (the client side bridge is already configured.)
Attempting to create kolab resource
Creating instance of type akonadi_kolabproxy_resource
Failed to create kolab proxy resource

The problem is not, that the migration fails. I'm done migrating. But there is no way to disable the resource migration tool so it won't start again.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Haven't tried it, but I guess the failed migration is the reason the migration tool gets started all the time.

Expected Results:
Some way to disable the migration tool, so it won't start again.

This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
