Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux With the new akonadi version it is getting very complicated to transfer the mails archives from one computer to another. With kmail 1 taring/untaring the root mails folder was enough to transfer the mail. With the akonadi version proceeding the same way the mails are ignored. Reproducible: Didn't try Expected Results: It would be convenient to have an option to export an entire tree of mail folders. Currently one has to click on individual folders/select all mails/save as, which is particularly bothersome when there are many folders.
Hi all, so far fervent user of Thunderbird, I try to progressively migrate my data and uses towards a 100% KDE environment. Most things Thunderbird do, Kmail does as well, sometimes better (finally a tool with size of IMAP folders). Still, import/export possibilities is crucial for me, both at work and at home. I've been using a godlike add-on called import/export tools (https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html). This allows to export groups of messages, folder or folder trees to eml/html/mbox format, and import eml/mbox format. This is incredibly useful in entreprise to quickly archive most important email or a full file history in a format directly viewable (html and/or eml). Is there any plan to add such feature?
I create a new program backupmail which allows to import export config/mails/resources etc. (in 4.9)
