Description Michal Thoma 2011-08-02 11:07:56 UTC
Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

XMP sidcar files are not copied along with files. This can lead to data lost or mismatch. XMP sidecar files should be inseparable from the original files, at least in digikam.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1 - Open some album with files which have XMP sidecars or create such sidcars by editing metadata.
2 - Drag and drop (copy or move) some files to another album.

Actual Results:
Now check with file manager
- The XMP sidecar files were not copied along.
- In case of moving the original XMP sidecar files were not deleted in original album.

Expected Results:
I think sidecar files, once created, should be inseparable from files, otherwise it's risk of metadata mismatch or data lost.
