Description Dotan Cohen 2011-08-01 14:21:02 UTC
Kate has a terrific file browser built in. A feature in Dolphin to right-click a folder and select "Open in Kate" would be great for users who deal with text files often.

Thanks!

In this case Kate must provide a service-menu (see http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Development/Tutorials/Creating_Konqueror_Service_Menus) that can be embedded into Dolphin.

Thanks, Peter, the Kate feature request is filed here:

Have a great week!

Well, now we have the report twice, so close as duplicate.

Dominik, this is not a dupe.

This bug asks for Dolphin to implement a feature. To do that, Dolphin needs Kate to implement a feature first. Therefore, bug 279054 is a dependency of this bug. I'll mark it as such. Thanks.

No, nothing must be done in Dolphin anymore -> it's a duplicate of 279054

I see, then. Thanks Peter.
