Description Victor 2011-07-30 13:51:52 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

I've configured gmail IMAP. While the mail account in any folders is synchronizing the folder properties (in righ click menu in folder list) are not accesible. Nothing happens if selecting Folder properties from the meny. And when synchrnization finishes the properties window will (not always!) open. It there are many folders in account and small synchronization interval there is almost impossible to get folder properties.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Check mail in IMAP account.
2. While kmail is checking mail, right click any folder from that account and select folder properties.

Actual Results:
Nothing happens

Expected Results:
It's expected, that Folder properties window will open!

Observed after kdepim 4.6 initial release and now in KDE 4.7.

confirm with Kubuntu 11.04 KDE SC 4.7 from the PPA

I see now, why I couldn't exclude some folders from unread count for 2 (two) days. It's terrible. I'm very patient, but the usability of this «properties» dialogue is awful, I'm sorry to say it.

akonadi
Comment 4 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 20:40:22 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions older than KDEPIM 4.14 (at most akonadi-1.3). Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a recent version of akonadi (part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

I can confirm it for KMai 5.3, akonadi 16.08.1

Thanks a lot for your feedback, Yuriy. Changed the status to confirmed.
