Description lnxusr 2011-07-30 01:34:28 UTC
Version: 1.99.0 (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS: Linux

I use a home Ubuntu server with a local IMAP server. When I upgraded to KDE PIM 4.7 and started kmail, the import dialog appeared. I clicked OK or Continue (I don't recall exactly which it offered to go on) and off it went, importing the old kmail data. Everything seemed to go fine, no error dialogs or whatnot.

After KMail started up, all my IMAP folders and subfolders were present and address book and calendar data from Google came in fine. I opened my IMAP inbox, and it was empty. I exited and restarted KMail and my IMAP inbox was then populated with the email from my server. It seems all top level folders (I have several) under the IMAP server were populated with the email, but any subfolders under them were empty. I closed KMail and restarted several times to no avail. I even went so far as to reboot my computer, but nothing would bring in the email from the subfolders.

Crating a new account using my IMAP details resulted in everything working just fine. The IMAP folders and all subfolders imported just fine with all email on my server present.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Sort of removing KDE PIM and all associated files, reinstalling KDE PIM 4.4 then upgrading again, I have no idea how to even try to reproduce this.

Actual Results:
Not all IMAP subfolders are properly populated with email on server.

Expected Results:
All email is located in proper subfolder.

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.38-10-generic-pae
Compiler: gcc

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
