show how the tasks have space between them

Version:           unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0)
OS:                Linux

I'm not entirely sure what is causing this, and I wasn't getting it with kde 4.6.5.

I have two monitors with nvidia spanning a single X session across them. I have a task manager on a panel on each screen. Filters that are enabled are the first three: only show tasks from the current screen/desktop/activity (I don't use activities). I have eight desktops. Grouping is by program name, only when taskbar is full, sorting alphabetically.

The image attached is from my second monitor, but the space is showing up on many desktops, both monitors.

I do have apps that try to grab my attention that may be on other desktops. They show up and blink (good), and maybe when that disappears is when this occurs? Not entirely sure yet.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
See above

Expected Results:
No space.

I have begun to have this happen as well since I upgraded to KDE 4.7.0 on Kubuntu 11.04. So far it has only happened to me when using programs on more than one desktop. If I close applications to the left of the space, the space slides to the left. If I close all applications, the space will be at the leftmost point of the task manager. I have yet to find a way to get rid of the space, except by logging out and back in again. My configuration is as follows:

 * Single monitor (1280 x 960)
 * Task Manager Settings:
   o Grouping: Do Not Group
   o Sorting: Manually
   o Only show tasks from the current screen: false
   o Only show tasks from the current desktop: true
   o Only show tasks from the current activity: true
   o Only show tasks that are minimized: false

I can confirm this behaviour with KDE SC 4.7.0. I started using activities by now and never saw this issue before. Therefore, it may probably be related to activities.

I can also confirm this bug.

A killall plasma-desktop && plasma-desktop reorganizes the task manager so that there are no blank entries within the task manager.

I can confirm this bug in kde 4.7.00. Does posting my plasma settings here do any good?
