Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux In kmail1 my base folder ~/Mail/ doesn't have cur,tmp,new directories. It only contains subfolders. Now when kmail2-migrator does migration it adds akonadi resource mixedmaildir resource for $HOME/Mail but later kmail2 cannot process it (reports fatal errors and terminates). ls -l ~/Mail/ drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 19:50 drafts drwx------ 7 arekm users 4096 2009-04-01 .drafts.directory -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .drafts.index -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .drafts.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 19:50 inbox drwxr-xr-x 7 arekm users 4096 07-28 19:19 .inbox.directory drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-06 08:16 inbox-failed -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-06 08:16 .inbox-failed.index -rw-r--r-- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .inbox-failed.index.ids -rw-r--r-- 1 arekm users 3493 2009-01-25 .inbox-failed.index.sorted -rw------- 1 arekm users 737649 07-28 19:50 .inbox.index -rw------- 1 arekm users 5413 07-28 19:50 .inbox.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 19:45 Listy dyskusyjne drwx------ 78 arekm users 8192 07-28 19:45 .Listy dyskusyjne.directory -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:45 .Listy dyskusyjne.index -rw-r--r-- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .Listy dyskusyjne.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 19:50 outbox -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .outbox.index -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .outbox.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-26 09:54 Prywatne drwx------ 10 arekm users 4096 07-26 09:54 .Prywatne.directory -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-26 09:54 .Prywatne.index -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .Prywatne.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 16:42 sent-mail drwx------ 2 arekm users 6 2010-08-31 .sent-mail.directory -rw------- 1 arekm users 7047407 07-28 16:42 .sent-mail.index -rw------- 1 arekm users 51617 07-28 19:50 .sent-mail.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 19:50 templates -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .templates.index -rw-r--r-- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:50 .templates.index.ids drwx------ 5 arekm users 36 07-28 19:48 trash -rw------- 1 arekm users 33 07-28 19:48 .trash.index -rw------- 1 arekm users 219017 07-28 19:50 .trash.index.ids Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Recreate such folder on system with old kmail1 and try to migrate to kmail2 - didn't test this procedure on fresh system. Expected Results: kmail2 should work fine with this type of configuration as kmail1 was. Can do more testing, contact me - I'm arekm on freenode irc network.
Sounds very much like the bug I reported a while ago and which many users with the mail in ~/Mail are encountering. My bug report is under 277530.
This is solved in Kmail 4.9 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 124111 ***
