Description Alibell 2011-07-28 15:55:04 UTC
Version: 2.4.1.90 (using KDE 4.6.5)
OS: Linux

I'm actualy on linux and I tried to import my old songs which I had to use on iTunes on Windows.
So I copy all my Music folder from windows to my linux partition, I import my itunes songs on Amarok and then I tried to import the iTunes Music Library.xml in order to get the files statistics on amarok.
The problem is that it doesn't recognize any songs.
So I opened the iTunes Music Library.xml and I saw that the paths used on that file are not symbolic but logical paths (file://localhost/C:\Document & settings\..."
I just modified the file to change these paths on "file://localhost/home/.../", tried to import my iTunes statistics again with the modified file and it just worked great !
So I just wanted to notify that actually the Itunes Music Library need to be modified in order to be imported.

PS : sorry for my english, but I'm french, I hope I've been understable

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Just try to import a Itunes Music Library.xml from Windows on the linux version of Amarok.

Actual Results:
It doesn't recognize any song.

Expected Results:
It should recognize all the songs.

Unfortunately we just tagged Amarok 2.4.3 a few days ago, so this will have to wait.

Well, although I do not run have iTunes on my Windows system, but is Amarok compatible with the iTunes library. Also, have you tried it in a newer version of Amarok. Please help by providing your valuable feedback.
PS: Even my English may not be that great, I'm from Nepal :)

Is this still valid with Amarok 2.5?
