Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.7.0) OS: Linux Focus follows mouse and the activities chooser do not work good together Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: Setup: - Panel on the left side of screen - Focus follows the mouse: on - Activities-Button in the Panel (upper half) 1) click the button 2) activities chooser opens at the bottom of the screen (not parallel to the vertical panel, but okay) 3) move the mouse over the screen, touch another window Actual Results: - the windows gets focused (not raised, but only focused) - the activities chooser closes Expected Results: - the windows gets focused (not raised, but only focused) - the activities chooser stays open Workaround: moving the mouse down on the left side of screen along the panel without touching another window. But this is just a workaround, it should work even when other windows get focused in between.
> Reproducible: Didn't try this should of course be: every time
confirmed
another note: the activity-bar should open on the screen edge next to the cursor. The Activitybar always opens at bottom, even when i click a "activities" icon which is located at the top of my vertical panel. This is even true for an "activities" icon in a horizontal panel at the top of the screen. maybe you want to take a look into the "add plasmoid"-bar code, because this bar opens next to the panel where i click "add plasmoid" and works quite fine in recent kde versions.
