Version: 4.6 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux In my settings, I set "google-chrome" as standard command for http Links. This works, for example in OO Writer. However, Thunderbird does nothing when clicking a link in an Email or right-click it, "Open in Web Browser". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Click a link in an Email or right-click, "Open in Web Browser". Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: Open Chrome
This is not a problem of KDE. Thunderbird has its own way(not influenced by DE settings)of controlling how to open URL. There are plenty of articles on internet about how to change it. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Changing_the_web_browser_invoked_by_Thunderbird http://kb.mozillazine.org/Setting_Your_Default_Browser#Setting_the_browser_that_opens_in_Thunderbird_-_Linux http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/applications/440364-chrome-unable-change-default-browser-thunderbird.html
