I can't reproduce the crash with the article of your feed but the title (HTML5 video) rang a bell. I am getting a crash every time I click on this article of the planet kde feed (http://planetkde.org/rss20.xml):
http://www.afiestas.org/display-configuration-in-kde-workspace-4-7-1/
It actually includes an HTML5 webm video. Akregator version is also 1.7.0.

You can also add this feed if the article disapears in the planet kde feed:
http://www.afiestas.org/feed/

The last blogpost from afiestas causes Akregartor crash. There is also a video with HTML5.

Akregator is not crashing here.
It seems only(?) webm videos are causing the crash on my PC. Ogv files just show a black box.

and that likely means you're using the unmaintained phonon-xine backend
