Description kabud 2011-07-24 11:18:07 UTC
Version: 0.12.2 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

the first page is vertically centered, i.e. the space between the top border of the page and the toolbar is equal to the space between the bottom border of the page and the page bar.

from page two onwards the pages are alligned to the bottom, i.e. the space between the top border of the page and the toolbar is approx twice as large as with the first page and there is no space between the bottom border of the page and the page bar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
open a pdf or ps. "fit page" and "continuous", compare how the first and the second page are positioned in the window.

Actual Results:
first page is centered vertically
later pages are alligned to the bottom

Expected Results:
all pages should be equally alligned (preferably vertically centered)

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-10-generic
Compiler: cc

the situation is similar when i turn "show page bar off"

the issue is not there when i switch "continuous" off, then all pages are equally alligned

it also seems to affect the "fit width" view : using KMag i count the number of pixels to the left and the right of the first page as 2 and to the top of the page its 5 pixels, then i click "advance to next page" and now its 9 pixels from the top of the page.

i should note: this happens when i navigate by "advance to the next page"/"go back to the previous page" toolbar buttons or the Go -> Next Page, Go -> Previous Page menu entries, or the respective keyboard shortcuts, but it does not happen when i click in the scrollbar

Made a screencapture.

1.) open http://plasma.kde.org/media/plasma-slides.pdf
2.) fit page
3.) continuous
4.) navigate to the next page by clicking in the scroll bar -> this is ok
5.) navigate back
6.) navigate to the next page by using the 'Advance to next page button' -> this is NOT ok

By repeating steps 5 and 6 you see how the presentation seems to 'jump' up and down.

everything is ok when navigating by
- clicking in the scrollbar
- using space/backspace
- using pagedown/pageup

It is a reeeeeaaaallly minor issue. Thanks for looking into it.

Oh, that. Ultra minor, don't have time to spend on that, sorry.

Thanks for the report kabud. I've just tested on okular 1.11.3 and I can't replicate this issue.

Can you please test and confirm if this issue is still occurring or if this bug report can be marked as resolved. I'm setting status to "needsinfo" pending your response, please change back to "reported" or "resolved" when you respond, thanks.
