Description S. Burmeister 2011-07-15 20:39:50 UTC
Version: 2.1.0 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

If kmail fails to send an email it remains in the outbox and gets a red bar at the top which states that sending failed.

If at a later point the sending succeeds the email is moved to the sent folder but the red bar at the top remains.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Make kmail fail to send an email
check whether it displays a red bar at the top of that email which states that it failed
send the email and click on it after it was moved to the sent folder

Actual Results:
the red bar is still there

Expected Results:
remove the red bar after sending succeeded

I can confirm this. Kmail 4.7.0.

Can you reproduce with 4.7.3 or 4.7.4?

Yes, with 4.7.3 (will try 4.7.4 ASAP ). Steps to reproduce : write mail. Try sending it while connected to a network that doesn't allow mail to be sent. Leave it in outbox, it will eventually get sent when I connect to a network allowing SMTP. Look at mail in sent-mail folder (it was received correctly), and observe "Échec du transport de message. smtp.googlemail.com: Socket operation timed out" at the top of mail (before headers) in a red box. The french part means "Message transport failed".
