Description Freddy Vejen 2011-07-15 15:02:12 UTC
Version: 2.4.0 (using Devel)
OS: Linux

In Krusader 2.4.0 the "Swap Panels" function does not work, neither with Ctrl+U or by using "Swap Panels" under Windows in the main menu. I tried to assign a different shortcut, but "Swap Panels" did nothing regardless of key combinations for the shortcut.

"Swap Sides" works perfectly with Ctrl+Shift+U and by using "Swap Sides" under Windows in the main menu.

The number of open panels on each side makes no difference, "Swap Panels" does nothing and "Swap Sides" works.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Press Ctrl+U or choose main menu, Windows, Swap Panels.

Actual Results:
No reaction

Expected Results:
Current panel swapped left to right and vice versa.

KDE 4.5.6 on Arch Linux

Damm, people really don't care to look if a bug has been reported
before.

I went to the search page, selected Krusader as product and searched for "swap".
It returned nothing.

Hi Frank,

I apologize for assuming you didn't search for the bug.
Probably you didn't include closed bugs in your search query (they
aren't by default).
It seems this is not a good default setting.

Guess we fell victims to circumstance -- beta 1 has been the only available version in Gentoo's portage for ages now and I guess I grew impatient. Hm... I could request a version bump.

It's quite OK that only open bugs are shown. However, if the result is empty, a visible and easily accessible link to widen the search might be helpful. Humans are lazy, to go back and change the search parameters is just too laborious. :)
