Version: 2.4.1 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

If I'm running fluxbox (the window manager) when I start amarok I get a shadow appearing at the top left of the screen just before the amarok window appears. This shadow appears on top of all windows in all workspaces and is somewhat annoying! If I restart fluxbox (from the fluxbox menu) this causes the shadow to draw beneath all other windows - so a little less annoying.
This problem doesn't happen with ubuntu/gnome though I very briefly see something transitory in that position on amarok startup

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
start amarok when running fluxbox

Expected Results:
I expect there to be no shadow on top of all my application windows

I'm running in twinview with the nvidia driver (is amarok trying to put something in the gnome taskbar?)

Do you have any 3rd-party scripts running? Try disabling those and see if it helps.
Another try could be to disable the Video applet which is a possible culprit.

I don't have the video applet enabled.
I have a couple of scripts coolstreams/BBC/librivox/random album
I'll try disabling them.

I have lastfm enabled pulling the password from kwallet; the kwallet dialog appears, I type the password, dismiss the dialog and v shortly after that I get the shadow (but maybe there's no connection...)

This behaviour started after I upgraded to ubuntu 11.04

The 'shadow' still appears even when all the scripts are disabled.
When it appears it remains in place even when amarok is closed.

Thank you for the feedback.

Is this still valid with Amarok 2.5?

Sorry for delay - will be next week before I can give an answer on this - the laptop which exhibits this is still on 2.4 - will let you know when I've done the update!

I can't replicate with 2.5.0 - you can close this!
