Description Philip 2011-07-14 17:29:37 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

KDE Autostart is set to run 2 applications on startup (after login) - Thunderbird and Teamviewer.
Thunderbird starts in desktop 1: "thunderbird"
Teamviewer starts in desktop 4: "kstart --desktop 4 teamviewer"

Sometimes(!), those are mixed up - Thunderbird starts in desktop 4 and Teamviewer in desktop 1 (!!?).

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
No idea how to reproduce it.

Expected Results:
Thunderbird on desktop 1 and, because of kstart, Teamviewer on desktop 4.
Comment 1 Philip 2011-09-18 14:37:46 UTC
Little update:
Lately (for a weeks months now) it doesn't work at all anymore, meaning my autostart programs are never started on the correct desktop.

kstart --desktop 1 thunderbird
Thunderbird is started on Desktop 4 in most cases (obviously because of another autostart on Desktop 4).

If it makes a difference - I'm using Fedora.

Since kstart doesn't do what it's supposed to do, I'm not using it anymore.

I see the same issue with using autostart with KDE Plasma 5.4.3 (openSUSE Leap 42.1).
"kstart --desktop X" is ineffective - all autostart programs start on desktop 1
