.xsession-errors

Version: SVN (using Devel)
OS: Linux

KDE 4.7RC2 in Archlinux.
If I go to dolphin and enter audiocd:/ it just shows me a directory with "Full CD" and "Information". No FLAC, MP3, etc directories. When I start KAudioCreator It shows me the tracks from the CD (and the correct freedb information), but when I select some/all tracks it just sits there with all jobs as "queued" and nothing happens.

Ripping with cdparanoia by itself in a shell works fine.

This pretty much renders the audiocd kio-slave useless, and this really needs to be fixed before 4.7 is shipped.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Insert an audio cd. Try to browse audiocd:/ or rip tracks with KAudioCreator.

Actual Results:
No tracks appear in audiocd:/ and no tracks can be ripped in KAudioCreator

Expected Results:
Directories for FLAC, MP3, etc should show up in audiocd:/ and tracks should be possible to rip in KAudioCreator.

See the attached .xsession-errors portion for cdparanoia output that happens when you browse audiocd:/

Yeah. KAudioCreator sits forever and never rips anything on 4.7.0. KDE 4.7.0 appears to have made KAudioCreator useless. This is a major regression.

Comment 7 Raif Sarcich 2011-08-21 11:02:50 UTC
Confirm on Kubuntu 10.04 with Kde 4.7 from ppa.

Priority and severity are normal? LOL. This makes the program completely _useless_. I'd say that that's far worse than "normal." It's scary that this wasn't fixed prior to 4.7.0 being released.

Amarok is also affected.
