Version: 1.0 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux When I try to change the settings of my camera, the list of available settings is very long and I can not change settings at the bottom because there is no scroll bar. My camera is Canon EOS 1000D. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Connect a Canon EOS 1000D via USB. Go to "System Settings, Digital Camera, Canon EOS 1000D and Configure". Actual Results: You can not see the settings at the bottom because there aren't scroll bars Expected Results: There had to be scroll bars
Could you add a screen shot? I would like to see if the settings dialog can be redesigned to be more compact, so that it does not require scroll bars if possible.
I can't add a screenshot at the moment because I'm not using KDE; but you could add a scrollbar, or you can put some expanders to the dialog: when you expand an expander, the other ones are compressed. But if there are many expanders a scrollbar is still required. If you want redesign the window I can send you a screenshot of the settings dialog for windows, made by canon. I'm going to install KDE, so I'll send you a screenshot soon.
I confirm this bug. It is still existing in KDE 4.10.5. The system: Gentoo KDE 4.10.5 Camera: Canon EOS 550D This happens regardless of the camera actually... I'm seeing it with almost every highend camera, so it should be an UI design problem. I am adding a screenshot where the lower part that is below window cannot be snapshot easily. Moving window up doesn't help.
Created attachment 81718 [details] A partial screenshot of the Configure camera dialog, which has extremely high height and makes the window unusable.
Additional Info: BTW none of the existing tabs for this camera have options that go beyond half of the visible window...
Sorry Wrong previous additional info. Actually the Image and Capture settings tabs' options are a way too much and go down the whole window making its heigh extreme and hidden. The only way to fix it is using the Alt+left mouse to move the window down...
