Description felix_mauch 2011-07-08 13:06:55 UTC
Version: 2.1.1 (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS: Linux

I created an imap-ressource for a MS-Exchange 2007 Server. When I update my inbox folder, KMail fetches the changes in an endless loop.

This example:
I send myself a test-Email. When I update the inbox-folder of the imap ressource, this email gets fetched correctly. But after aboute one second, this mail gets fetched again, so it is in my inbox folder twice. A second later again, and again, and again.... So I end up with a lot of emails in my inbox folder. The really annoying thing: These emails also get pushed on the server. So I also have these multiple mails in my email inbox.
I recreated the ressource, I changed the settings with connected/disconnected, serverside/local subscription, but nothing changed.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
- Create the ressource to an MS exchange imap server
- update your local folder

Actual Results:
New mails get copied a lot

Expected Results:
Just fetch new mails once

I use KDE 4.6.5 not 4.6.4 as stated above. 4.6.5 is just not yet accessible here

Update: When I remove all Filters, then the problem is gone.

another update: Creating new filters doesn't recreate this problem. Looks like this is just a problem with filter migration.

Hit the same thing, also with filters enabled. Will try to disable them, too.

This bug happens to me when I have the bogofilter filter turned on. This filter was set up using the antispam setup wizard. The e-mail somehow gets multiplied. When I turn the bogofilter filter off, the issue diappeas.
