on search (view selected grouping in album)
will by nice to have the grouping header=Album linkable
meens on click open the album.

On the left bottom side of search view (not the sear dialog), from the left sidebar of digiKam album gui in fact, you can record Search Virtual album to call later your search and update result in icon view.

It's not enough ?

i will try to explain better what Iā€™m looking for.
please have a look on att. picture
there is on red what i mean with "grouping header=Album linkable
meens on click open the album"

On icon-view context menu, you can go to item folder/date/tag Album through the right option. It's not enough ?
