What is output of this command? x="/usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/"; grep -b "Name\[de\]" $x*.desktop | sed "s:$x::g" I assume it is again Ubuntu's fault: http://packages.ubunut.com/de/natty/amd64/k3b/filelist does not list /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/k3b_copy_disc.desktop which contain "Name[de]=Mit K3b kopieren" on my openSUSE systems ...

I went to /usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/ and did the translations by myself. There was no "Name[de]=" on it. It helped in one case but not in all. But I think I have to restart the machine .... In dolphin the context-menues for k3b, gweview and ark are all in english No
(In reply to comment #2) > The output of the mentionned command is: > > norbert@asuslx:~$ x="/usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/"; grep -b "Name\[de\]" > $x*.desktop | sed You forgot "s:$x::g" after | sed ...
sorry, I knew that I forgot something. BTW the menue entries for DeviceNotifier are NOW all in german This is also shown on the report norbert@asuslx:~$ x="/usr/share/kde4/apps/solid/actions/"; grep -b "Name\[de\]" $x*.desktop | sed "s:$x::g" dragonplayer-opendvd.desktop:219:Name[de]=Mit Videospieler öffnen (Dragon Player) gwenview_importer_camera.desktop:205:Name[de]=Fotos mit Gwenview herunterladen gwenview_importer.desktop:309:Name[de]=Fotos mit Gwenview herunterladen k3b_audiocd_rip.desktop:229:Name[de]=Audio-CD mit K3b auslesen k3b_copy_disc.desktop:229:Name[de]=Mit K3b kopieren k3b_create_audio_cd_from_blank_medium.desktop:352:Name[de]=Audio-CD mit K3b erstellen k3b_create_data_project_from_blank_medium.desktop:257:Name[de]=Daten-Disk mit K3b erstellen solid_audiocd.desktop:272:Name[de]=Mit Dateimanager öffnen solid_camera.desktop:206:Name[de]=Mit Dateimanager öffnen test-predicate-openinwindow.desktop:296:Name[de]=Mit Dateimanager öffnen vlc-opencda.desktop:198:Name[de]=Mit VLC-Player öffnen vlc-opendvd.desktop:207:Name[de]=Mit VLC-Player öffnen vlc-openvcd.desktop:214:Name[de]=Mit VLC-Player öffnen This is now because of my translations, but in the 2nd contextmenue from dolphin I still have the same problem. Unfortunately my KSnapshot does not work for the menue-view, so I had to do a photograph. You see it attached here. But you helped me good with your comments. Thank you. So I'd like to ask you to continue. BTW. Do you mean that SUSE is finer to handle ? Norbert
Created attachment 61743 [details] second menue for Ark
Those are in: /usr/share/kde4/services/ServiceMenus/ark_addtoservicemenu.desktop Btw. I do not know whether openSUSE is easier to handle - it is the distribution which fits my demands best. I use it because they have Open Build Service (OBS) where I maintain upstream development graphics drivers in my home: project. There are also projects for stable (branches) and unstable (trunk) KDE which I use to find errors in early development process and report them here. But I would never ever use *buntu with KDE since translations there is a homemade mess - they are to silly to create their packages directly from our tarballs but put them in their silly infrastructure and destroy our good upstream work ... (see for example [I assume it is still valid]): http://lists.kde.org/?t=125754546100001&r=1&w=2) I am marking it now as "RESOLVED" as "UPSTREAM". If you have further questions you can reach me via email ( also in German :-) )
If Kubuntu is the problem, this would be downstream. :)
