KMail 2.0.95 (also reproduceable on 4.4.11.1), Akonadi 1.5.80, KDE 4.7 RC1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Use Yandex.Mail over IMAP.

Actual Results:  
KMail 2.x: When clicking on unread letter, it's marked as readed. But if I'm updating a folder (using folder's context menu), this letter becomes unread.
KMail 1.x: When clicking on unread letter, this message appears http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1830526/kmail.png

Expected Results:  
After folder update, a letter should remain marked as readed.

Same bug here, marking mail as read is totally buggy :-(

Is it still happening for you with 4.7.1? We got a fix related to that which should have been backported to this version. Otherwise I'd advise testing again on 4.8 when it is out and reopening if that still shows up.

If that shows up, please give again the IMAP log as you did initially, maybe with a bit more context (like all the way up to the SELECT for instance), it helps a lot.

Akonadi 1.6.0, kdepim 4.7.2 - sometimes works, sometimes doesn't works. But more often doesn't works :(
I'll send you a more comprehensive report later.

Looks like Yandex's IMAP is completely full of bugs, ever when using it with such popular clients like Thunderbird. I switched to GMail several days ago.
