Version:           1.9.0 (using KDE 4.6.2) 
OS:                Linux

The camera nikon coolpix s9100 is not yet supported by kubuntu 11.04 or DigiKam 1.9.0. The camera is found, but fails to get file list from internal memory (No connection possible). Bought that camera today, firmware 1.0

Steps to Reproduce:
Connect that camera.

camera driver is provided by GPhoto2 project. report this wish to GPhoto2 team. There is no driver in digiKam.

But in fact, it works.
When you plug the camera, only Digikam is proposed to be in charge.
So let it do and try to get the connection. It takes about a little minute and finaly, it failed.
At the beginning, when you plug your camera, you can see that the green circle light around the on/off button switch on.
Then it rapidly switch off and this is the one about flash that blinks. That is the problem i think.
So after the first try, it is proposed to make another try to connect. Accept that and during the opération, unplug the camera, not the usb on your computer, but just the camera; and plug it again at once. You can see that the green circle light switch on again.
And "voilà", your pictures and movies appears on the Digicam explorer. Select and copy to your computer.
For information, I run under Linux Mandriva 2010.2.
