Interesting, can you reproduce that with recent versions ?

which plugins do you see in the kontact side bar ?

I can't reproduce the crash but I can see an incorrect behaviour if the basket plugin is enabled

kontact (4.7.3) on KDE Platform 4.7.3 (4.7.3) using Qt 4.7.4

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

after having deselcted some plugins (calendar,notes,etc, leaving mostly mail, contacs and to-do), creating a todo resource - upon selecting the button for creating a to-do, crashed.

kontact (4.8.0) on KDE Platform 4.8.00 (4.8.0 using Qt 4.8.0

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I deactivated the Journal function, hit the ok button and then Kontact crashed. Seems to be still valid in KDE 4.8

Please test 4.11 or 4.10, this should be fixed now
