Description Vito De Tullio 2011-07-02 10:45:54 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.5)
OS: Linux

I buy a new disk and tried to copy my /home from my previous partition to the new one.
Dolphin stopped because it cannot copy a couple of socket files presents in .dropbox.
A simple `cp -a` solved my problem.

Does dolphin support copying socket?

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
find a socket file ( ~/.kde/share/apps/nepomuk/socket is another example) with dolphin
copy it to another location

Actual Results:
dolphin says it cannot copy the file

Expected Results:
the socket file copyed

cp can do it :D
and also I think there are problems with pipe files

I can reproduce the reported problem using KDE SC 4.8 RC2.

Is this still relevant or applicable with KDE Frameworks 5.45?
Comment 3 Vito De Tullio 2018-04-25 13:44:25 UTC
I'm still using kde 4.14 (present in slackware-current)
Comment 4 Nate Graham 2018-04-25 13:47:42 UTC
Sorry, that doesn't help. :) We're all on KDE frameworks 5.45!
