Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: I tried to change background via touch "right-click" and "Configure Search and Launch". Here I can select one and go to OK, but actually the background image of the underlying applet strip of the current activity is changed. Expected Results: background image of the "Search and Launch" page is changed I am using OpenSuse 11.4 with Kusc and Plasma-Active Packages on a WeTab.
Marco and I talked about removing the SAL containment, now we have the applauncher in the top panel. So not sure if this one's worth fixing...
Yes, you're right: SAL and applauncher are like duplicates and I also like the applauncher more in terms of swiping it to the screen (with SAL I found that more tricky, especially if there is a widget in the middle of the applet strip with Settings-Button near the three dots of SAL). But I also see a disadvantage of applauncher as it stands now in OpenSuse:Active packages: In my opinion, the apps' starters are much more mixed and I find the categories on the left did not work quite well. I click through various categories and it seems, that they are not refreshed properly. E.g. I get Games and other stuff mixed up when I click on Math. Thus I liked the categories from SAL more (they were a cleaner presentation) than now with applauncher (one more: categories for bookmarks and contacts would be nice to have in applauncher).
