Description Jonathan Mast 2011-06-30 21:23:39 UTC
Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

If you enter a URL in the file upload dialog it says "Remote files not accepted, You can only select local files".(Tested with Firefox & ReKonq)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Navigate to any webpage that has a file input form.
Click browse, open or whatever the webpage calls it.
Enter a URL in the Name field and click open.

Actual Results:
An popup appears which says "Remote files not accepted, You can only select local files"

Expected Results:
It should download the file to tmp and then upload it.

Firefox is not a KDE program, report it there separately. Reassigning to rekonq.

This is a dupe of another bug and it has just been fixed in 0.8. Sorry, I'm not finding it to mark as duplicate. Closing as fixed
