Description bogdan 2011-06-26 20:40:47 UTC
Version: 2.1.0 (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS: Linux

Because the import failed I just copied the maildir directory in the appropriate place.
The trick seemed to work and the messages were imported after a long time though.
The big problem is that those messages with large attachments can't be viewed. The subject is there but the content did not appear in 30 minutes or more.

I tried to send a 9 MB email and the problem is the same. I think that the MySQL driver is incapable to handle emails with size > 1.5MB

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Send an email with at least 6MB attachment to a email box which is queried by Kmail.

The mail will not be received in kmail although it is on the server.

Actual Results:
mail is corrupted or does not arrive

Expected Results:
mail should be fetched

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.39.1-cfq-desktop
Compiler: gcc

Still valid ?
Comment 2 Saurav Sengupta 2012-09-21 07:28:55 UTC
This problem still occurs in the default KMail in KDE SC 4.9.1. It has been a long time since it was reported. Is this going to be fixed?

The platform recorded for this bug needs to be changed. The bug exists upstream and therefore in all distributions, not just in openSUSE.

Tested with an 8.6MB mail with KDE 4.10 - no problem.
