Description Kevin Bader 2011-06-17 18:44:57 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.4)
OS: Linux

Automatic application tracking is a great idea, but it would be even more useful if it was configurable. I'd like to see the following options:

- select a folder where all automatic tracking should go to
- rules per applications
    > track by window title (current behaviour)
    > track by class (e.g., firefox)
    > track by role (e.g., browser)

Thanks!

Reproducible: Always

help window reports version 4.7.0.

would you write a patch for this?

Yes, I'd love to! I haven't done any KDE programming so far, but this seems to be a good opportunity to get my feet wet. So it will take some time... just be patient with me :-)

Ok, then if you got questions, point the IRC client of your choice to freenode.net, channel #kontact. To get started, here is how you compile the latest kdepim (you will need to kompile kdepimlibs first):

I'm afraid I can't supply a patch anytime soon, sorry.

Hello! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this project has been unmaintained for many years so I will be closing this bug.
