Description Fantana Gabriel 2011-06-17 10:56:34 UTC
Application: plasma-desktop (0.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.6.2 (4.6.2)
Qt Version: 4.7.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.38-8-generic i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 11.04

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
1. Start the laptop
2. Load Kubuntu 11.04
3. Install a 3G modem device
4. Use it for a while
5. Close the case of the laptop
6. Reopen it.

By reopening it can occur two bad behaviours: the system is partially freezed (no buton or option can be used and the only active element are those on background) or a crash announcement will be displayed.
Note that the kubuntu is fresh installed and it has no customisation made.

-- Backtrace:
Application: Plasma Desktop Shell (plasma-desktop), signal: Segmentation fault

Note that I tried to reproduce this bug 3 times and I've got a different behaviour: after reopening the lid no freezing or crash message, but I can't connect to the 3G modem any more. Using Network Management tool and clicking on the 3G connection can't be set an IP address for the device. The only way to make it work is to restart the computer. I did't try to kill and restart Network Management tool.
