Version: 1.6.1 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux When new files are copied or created, in a folder currently opened in Dolphin, from the command line or another application they sometimes do not appear in that folder view until I close and reopen Dolphin. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Open in Dolphin an images directory in details view mode, with previews on. Let it open some long hours of work and use it repeatedly to preview images and load them in Gimp as needed. Modify images in Gimp (especially small images, like icons) and save those in the same directory, under a new name, or copy images in this directory from the command line (Konsole). A lot of other apps were opened at the same time (Firefox, with a dozen of tabs, Thunderbird, Kate, Konsole, Akkregator, other misc tools, and possibly another Dolphin Window on another desktop, at times). Actual Results: New files can be ls -l'ed or opened with KDE'file open dialog bo do not show up in Dolphin until I close and reopen it. Going back and forth between directories does not refresh anything. This does not happen with a freshly opened session, though. Expected Results: Well, refresh the display to reflect the actual content of the directory, or at the very least provide a "reload" button for that. OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-8-generic Compiler: cc Ubuntu 11.04 with its default KDE setup Core 2 duo/2Gb RAM Oh, seeing your severity box below, its a minor bug because I only need to close and reload Dolphin to get done with it but I don't pretend it will be trivial to find and fix. Thank you.
I am sorry I lack time to investigate this more in depth. It's the third day in a row that I experience this phenomenon, usually about 4 or 5 p.m. I usually start working at 5.30 a.m. Many thanks for the great work Paul
