Description Matt Whitlock 2011-06-15 16:58:41 UTC
Version: 2.1.0 (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

It is a serious security risk for replies to encrypted messages to default to sending in cleartext because such replies usually include quoted text. When replying to an encrypted message, the composer should enable encryption of the reply by default.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Reply to an encrypted message.

Actual Results:
Composer does not enable encryption by default.

Expected Results:
Composer enables decryption by default.

I think this is a regression against KMail 1 because I use S/MIME daily and never noticed a problem before upgrading to KMail 2.

Sorry, the "Expected Results" should read:
Composer enables *encryption* by default.
Comment 2 Sandro Knauß 2013-03-26 23:29:10 UTC
It is fixed in 4.9.2
