Description David Mills 2011-06-10 16:23:04 UTC
Version: 1.0.80 (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

When the system tray icon is animated, xrestop shows an increase in pixmap usage for plasma-desktop. This leads to a system slowdown eventually (over several hours and 20000 odd pixmap resources) When the animation is turned off, the leak stops.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
Trigger the system tray icon animation and look at xrestop

Actual Results:
the number of pixmap resources allocated to plasma-desktop increases continually

Expected Results:
no increase

I think it's a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216289

I have the same problem when running knemo and other apps with animated icons in the tray.
