Description Nikita Skovoroda 2011-06-08 01:56:09 UTC
Version: SVN (using Devel)
OS: Linux

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
0) Open konqueror (in English language).
1) Make sure you have some bookmarks and browsing history.
2) Right click on free space in the top toolbar. Press „Configure Toolbars“.
3) Add „Bookmarks“ and „Recently Visited“ by finding them (via filter) and dragging to the right side. Press „OK“.

You now have a textual „Bookmarks“ dropdown menu and an icon with „Recetly visited“ dropdown menu.

4) Click them both (separately, of course) and try to select something from that menus. Also try using bookmanks submenus, if you have any. Compare user expierence.

Actual Results:
„Recetly visited“ menu has a pretty icon, opens with a single click and opens wanted item with another single click. It behaves like any other normal menu, quite expected.

„Bookmarks“ menu has only text, no icon.
„Bookmarks“ menu does not open on click. You have to press and hold down „Bookmarks“ menu to open it.
You have to hold down the mouse button while selecting anything from „Bookmarks“ menu for it not to close. The only way to use it is to press the button on it and hold, wait for it to open, move mouse to wanted item, release the button on it. This looks like a nightmare to me, especially when there are sub-menus.

Expected Results:
„Bookmarks“ menu should have an icon and behave like „Recetly visited“ menu (and any other normal menu).

Not an issue any more here in 4.10.90.

So the only thing that is needed is an icon for the «Bookmarks» action.

Could you check if setting an icon using the "Configure Toolbars" dialog works?

Yes, it works nicely.

Thanks for the update. If understanding you correctly, this can be closed.
