Created attachment 60701 [details] snapshot related to the k3b burning attempt Version: 2.0.2 (using KDE 4.6.2) OS: Linux i put a cdrw previously erased on cdrom reader to burn an image (iso) but the start button is not available.. then if i want to format/erase this media it is not possible because the only i can do is to load media or eject... of course it is empty then why k3b does not make start burning available? Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Put a blank (already used and erased) disc on the cdrecorder... 2. Then select on k3b "burn an image" and 3. That's all... no start available! no erasing available! Actual Results: nothing happened just no possibility to burn on this blank (already used and erased) disc! Expected Results: I wanted to burn an image then to use it for installing ubuntu... OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.38-8-generic Compiler: cc

Hi, I retried the process : 1/ First i formated (with k3b) again a cd (rewritable) where an iso was previously burned (with k3b) 2/ Then in k3b, i look for an iso to burn. After scanning for md5, k3b refuse to make start (burn) avalaible ! 3/ Then i think the problem is persistent in this case.
