New crash information added by DrKonqi

1. Even though it is claimed in a failure report (see bug ID 274963) that this failure has been fixed, the KDE PIM crashed when a reminder was dismissed.

Fixed in 4.6.
You're using 4.4.5.
Comment 4 K. A. Sayeed 2011-07-16 02:34:42 UTC
1. I am using KDE PIM 4.4.8 in Linux -> Ubuntu 10.04.

2. KDE PIM 4.6 is not available in Linux -> Ubuntu 10.04. The Synaptic Package Manager in Ubuntu 10.04 is only able to find KDE PIM 4.4.8.

3. KDE PIM 4.3.2.performed much better than KDE PIM 4.4.8 and has many features such as custom fields, mailing contact info, creating duplicate contact info, ability to have a Kontact address book entry open while working in another application such as the Kontact Calendar, apply buttons when editing the Address book, etc. It was also more stable. All these are missing in subsequent versions of KDE PIM. This is a retrograde step.

4. The Akonadi server architecture does not seem to have helped either.

5. The "nepomuk" file has a horrendously large size if 5 to 6 GB.

6. I am taking the liberty of using this opportunity to inform you of these problems in the hope of improving the product.
