Description Harald Sitter 2011-06-05 01:50:18 UTC
Version: 4.5-git (using KDE 4.6.3)
OS: Linux

The grand lord master overlord king emperor general admiral president of Phonon requires more beer to not fall asleep.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Reproducible every day, that there is no beer.

Actual Results:
No beer.

Expected Results:
Beer.

To achieve ultimate programming performance in order to drive the phonon software collection five platform solution stuff forward it is absolutely quint essential to have sufficient supply of beer.
Once the beer supply is interrupted development of superior high quality solutions cannot be carried out and thus have direct negative impact on the momentum of Phonon Five and Phonon 4 development.

Could you please provide a backtrace or any other proof that could lead to the resolution of this bug?
Comment 2 Harald Sitter 2011-06-05 12:24:47 UTC
I could get you a picture next time I get around to reproduce the issue.
As there is no crash a backtrace would be difficult to get.
Comment 3 Harald Sitter 2011-06-05 19:39:50 UTC
Reassigning to Aaron, since he apparently has access to a beer supply, or at least Valorie suggests so.
Comment 4 Aaron J. Seigo 2011-06-05 23:21:04 UTC
i tested the beer supply and it seems that it has been fixed in master. there was an ample supply in the cooling framework.

see: http://twitpic.com/57j9gv

i think the focus is off due to the atmospheric influence of the cool, cool beer liquid in the bottles. apologies for the quality, however i feel this should demonstrate that this bug is indeed not reproducible.

please try a clean fridge.

cheers!

Why do you mark that as WORKSFORME. Are you mad?
Comment 6 Elias Probst 2011-06-05 23:41:22 UTC
Please also make sure to implement a limiter for the Ballmer Peak treshold.

Cannot reproduce with master at all. Must be a platform solution framework thing, perhaps it lacks integration. Could you please have another look.

Comment 8 Torrie Fischer 2011-06-05 23:44:01 UTC
I can confirm this exists in phonon-gstreamer.
Comment 9 Kevin Funk 2011-06-05 23:45:29 UTC
Adding the responsible person.

He tricked us by filling out the questionnaires before telling us that the beer is out. We were betrayed!
Comment 10 Myriam Schweingruber 2011-06-05 23:46:59 UTC
reassigning
Comment 11 Harald Sitter 2011-06-06 01:47:49 UTC
Issue resolved, we found the jim... He beat some of us really hard.

Confirmed as fixed in master.
Comment 12 Harald Sitter 2011-06-06 15:26:08 UTC
Apparently, there is a regression again. Or perhaps there is still a platform integration solution problem on certain platforms.

It appears that the fix is not working for PulseAudio running Phonon people.

Proof coming in a bit...

Good news, the issue is fixed by my car ride earlier this afternoon. Hint: check the fridge, lower right, the KDE-multimedia disaster is finally relieved.
Comment 15 Harald Sitter 2011-06-06 22:20:06 UTC
Confirming the fix. Please see the attached picture.
