Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.3) OS: Linux I have Kickoff set to open the application launcher menu with a keyboard shortcut. This works. But I also expect the same shortcut to close the menu if it's open. This doesn't happen, and is slightly annoying, since if I do open the menu and decide to close it again, I have to reach for the mouse. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Map Kickoff to a keyboard shortcut. Open the menu with the shortcut. Hit the shortcut again. Actual Results: Menu stays open. Expected Results: Menu should close upon hitting the shortcut a second time.
Changing to wishlist as it is actually a new requirement
I'm not sure this is a "new requirement" - because it works exactly this way for me. I've assigned a keyboard shortcut to the Kickoff menu and hitting it once opens the menu, a second time closes the menu. I can't remember any version where this didn't happen.
Christopher please upgrade to KDE 4.8 as it works there.
This works for "Application Launcher" aka Application Launcher Style, but not "Application Launcher Menu" aka Classic Menu Style. Sorry, should perhaps have been more explicit at the outset.
ah, if I do that, then I can reproduce the issue (4.9 rc2).

This works for all menu styles in Plasma 5.
