Description Tobias Crefeld 2011-05-31 12:39:22 UTC
Application: knetworkmanager (v0.9)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.4 (KDE 4.4.4) "release 3"
Qt Version: 4.6.3
Operating System: Linux 2.6.34.8-0.2-default i686
Distribution: "openSUSE 11.3 (i586)"

-- Information about the crash:
Only network connection via WLAN (eth1). When starting openvpn-connection (VPN-client as tcp-client) it started one time after configuration and got all changes in resolv.conf and routing table. After maybe 1 minute VPN-connection stops - no crash, just disconnection. When trying to restart the openvpn-connection, KNM crashs, no matter how often I tried.

It seems (!) (too quick to watch precisely) that KNM stops WLAN-connection when starting the openvpn-connection.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

 -- Backtrace:
Application: KNetworkManager (knetworkmanager), signal: Segmentation fault

Monolithic knetworkmanager is unmaintained, nobody is fixing bugs in it. Please use the plasmoid version and a newer KDE SC version, 4.4.x is also unmaintained.
