Description MR 2011-05-31 09:45:30 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

If you have a person with a german umlaut in it's name, e.g. "öäüß-test" and want to write an email to this person the name isn't displayed correctly afterwards in the compose mail window from kmail. In this particular case the name is displayed as "????-test"

If you are directly searching for the name in the "To-field" within kmail the umlauts are displayed correctly.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a contact entry with the name "öäüß-test" with some text as email address
2. click on the email or search in krunner for the name
3. the window for composing a mail opens

Actual Results:
The name is displayed as "????-test".

Expected Results:
The name should be correctly displayed as "öäüß-test".

I can not reproduce this using KDE 4.8.
Please feel free to reopen if you still experience this using KDE 4.7 or greater, given the font used have the required characters.
