Description illumilore 2011-05-30 20:43:31 UTC
Version: unspecified
OS: Linux

On one of my virtual desktops, the widget that says "new activity" will randomly disappear, and at the same time, the background will change to an old background that I was using back in gnome. At the same time, when I right click on a file, I will get a different menu from the other virtual desktops that are in folder view. No error messages are displayed when this happens.

Reproducible: Sometimes

"the background will change to an old background that I was using back in gnome"

most likely this is the nautilus desktop starting and getting in the way. not a plasma bug.

I have nautilus set as the default folder browser due to several bugs in dolphin, but should launching that replace the kde folder view widget instead? After this initially happens, launching other nautilus windows from other virt. desktops do not cause the same thing to happen.
Is there a way to use nautilus and not have it take over the desktop?
