Do you have both Qt 3 and Qt 4 libraries installed?
from the terminal: $ aptitude search qt |grep -i ^i.*'qt[ -]*3' i libqt3-mt - Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime version), i libqt3-mt-mysql - MySQL database driver for Qt3 (Threaded) i libqt4-qt3support - Qt 3 compatibility library for Qt 4 i pinentry-qt - Qt-3-based PIN or pass-phrase entry dialog It seems that i can only remove the libqt3-mt-mysql and pinentry-qt without removing kde. After removing them, $ aptitude search qt |grep -i ^i.*'qt[ -]*3' i libqt3-mt - Qt GUI Library (Threaded runtime version), i libqt4-qt3support - Qt 3 compatibility library for Qt 4 kcminit still crashes
No crash after format and fresh install. I suppose something was wrong in my previous installation or configuration.
Thanks for the update, marking this entry as resolved. If you see another bug, please add a new entry.
