Description Axel Krebs 2011-05-27 20:45:37 UTC
Version: 2.0.0 (using KDE 4.6.2)
OS: Linux

digiKam version 2.0.0-beta5

I try to consolidate my collections, using Statistics as follows:

GIF: 99
JP2: 14
JPG: 63696
MPEG: 2
PGF: 2
PNG: 875

RAW-CRW: 10960
RAW-DNG: 4
RAW-NEF: 31801

Datenbanktreiber: QSQLITE

Searching two keywords (in "extended search"),
one keyword in the first "search group",
the second in the second "search grop",

I do get result from...
- search group first
- search group second
and hits including _both_ keywords.

But: I choose logical "and", which is not realized correctly.

Maybe this extended search is a great tool; for my opinion it is somehow "tricky", complicated, and fancy. It does not easiliy fulfill my (users) demands, maybe.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
just search for two keywords, logically connected with "and". Cannot search for this demands.

Expected Results:
Easily to handle. Straight-on handling. It seems _not_ to be _self_-_explaning_

OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.35-28-generic-pae
Compiler: cc

You do it like this dont you:

Works quite fine for me. Pictures with me in Paris, no picture where I am not depicted, no picture not taken in Paris.

I found by fortune, that "ODER" can be switched into "UND" bei simple clicking. Why should one assume, that this switch is active?

Maybe there is another way showing intuively the handling correctly?

Thanks for your help. Error is "resolved"
