Possible duplicate to bug 273112.
This one is similar: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=265405
It's definitely a duplicate of bug 273112, but we have more votes here. btw, it's still existent in KDE 4.7.0 and perfect reproduceable. Freezing time is between 25 - 30s
Same thing happens for me on 4.6.5.. It also happens for me when I choose "shutdown" in the power profile (with out confirmation because I like it to just shutdown with out question..); I will push power on laptop, sit there for like 30 seconds, and then it will finally start shutting its self down.. However, if it helps at all, it seems that it doesn't have this bug with "do nothing" and "lock screen" and "turn off screen".. But the first time power button is pushed, and tries "shutdown" or "show logout dialog", it waits 30 seconds the first time..
Idem with KDE 4.7.1.
